Background

Web design is fun. I really enjoy both the technical and creative processes involved in developing an attractive and functional website.

My first foray into web design was in 2000, when I took an introductory college course. After finishing the course, I built a few simplistic web sites for various purposes and even did a little part-time web design work.

It's no surprise that web development technology has improved quite a bit since 2000, and after taking some time off I decided to get back into web design in 2007. Since then, I've been building sites and learning as much as possible about current languages and development methodologies.

I still consider myself to be an amateur web designer, but feel that I have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, SQL and Javascript. I also do my own graphic design using Adobe Photoshop.

I don't make a living designing websites, but am interested in taking on side-projects every now and then. If you've got an idea for a site and need some help, you can contact me here.
